What aluminum equipment is needed for an aluminum profile electrophoretic oxidation line
(1) Aluminum electrocoating bath equipment. Aluminum profile electrocoating baths are mostly designed as rectangular tanks, and the size of the base depends on the dimensions of the fixtures used for hanging. The tank body is made of 4–6mm steel plate lined with polypropylene or epoxy fiberglass, and an overflow tank needs to be provided.
(2) Power supply. The DC current should be adjustable from 0–250A. The current is calculated based on 50A/㎡, approximately 2000A per tank. The ripple factor of the power supply must be less than 6%; the larger the ripple value, the higher the chance of voids in the electrocoating film.
(3) Electrodes. During anodic electrocoating, the aluminum profiles act as the anode, while the cathode plates are made of stainless steel or aluminum, with the cathode area equal to the total surface area of the workpieces. Polypropylene fiber cloth is used as plate separators.
(4) Heat exchange system. Ensures the stability of the bath temperature.
(5) Pre-mixing tank and automatic addition system. The pre-mixing tank prepares the electrocoating solution to ensure that normal parameters are met; the automatic addition system ensures that the amount of electrocoating paint consumed by each tank of aluminum profiles is replenished, keeping the solid content within the process range to ensure uniform film thickness.
(6) Ion exchange treatment (IR) system. During anodic electrocoating of aluminum profiles, the cathode pH continuously increases. Using an ion exchange resin system can remove impurities from the bath, maintaining stable pH of both anode and cathode liquids. If combined with a reverse osmosis unit (RO), a closed-loop system can be achieved.
